Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), Christine Lagarde said, Tuesday, “the strong willingness of Tunisia to achieve the necessary reforms to ensure development strengthens the confidence placed in it by the Fund and opens opportunities to continue and expand the partnership.”
Speaking to reporters after a meeting held this morning at the Carthage Palace between the IMF delegation led by its Managing Director and President Beji Caid Essebsi, Lagarde “welcomed the efforts exerted by Tunisia to ensure its political, economic and financial stability, “said a statement issued by the Presidency of the Republic.
Beji Caid Essebsi, for his part, emphasized the achievements accomplished by Tunisia in terms of creating a favorable political climate, noting the combined efforts of all the forces of the country to face difficulties and improve the economic and social situation.
