The umbrella group for car sellers in Gabon, URAI, We dnesday announced a decline of 2 per cent in the sales of new vehicles in the country in the first half of 2 010, compared with the same period in 2009.
URAI said in the first half of 2010, 2,147 new cars were sold, as against 2,191 in the first half of 2009.
It said indications are that the decline would continue in Gabon, where 11 deale rs share the car market.
Two of the dealers, Sogafric Services and CFAO, control nearly 86.8 per cent of the market.
