A Tunisian businessmen mission, representing 15 companies active in the food- processing industries, textile-clothing and Para-pharmaceuticals, paid a visit to Moscow, Russia, on February 12-19.
Supervised by the Exports Promotion Centre (CEPEX), this visit was an occasion for the Tunisian business managers to establish contacts with purchase managers of Russian main distribution channels and with Russian businessmen and Tunisian operators set up in the country and integrated the Russian business circles.
The Tunisian businessmen also took part in the International Exhibition for Food, Beverages and Food Raw Materials, “PRODEXPO,” which is the largest specialized exhibition in Russia and Eastern Europe.
At the All-Russian Forum and Exposition, “GOSZAKAZ 2012,” devoted to public procurements in Russia, Tunisia was represented through a wide range of products which have strong export potentials on the Russian market –extra-virgin and organic olive oil, tinned food, dates, pasta products, sweets, poultry products, textile and clothing, cosmetics and Para-pharmaceuticals.
The Tunisian stand was visited by government officials in Moscow, representatives of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Russian Federation, the Tunisian-Russian Business Council and Russian media.
Besides, a seminar on the “Tunisian-Russian Economic and Trade Relations and Prospects for their Development” was organized on the occasion.
