Tunisia: consumption of road fuels up 5%

Consumption of road fuels was up by 5% between 2014 and 2015 to 2,578 ktoe, accounting for 57% of the overall consumption of petroleum products.
Indeed, consumption of regular diesel rose 2%, that of unleaded gasoline went up by 8%, and that of diesel 50 (rose 13%).
 
For consumption of LPG, it grew 4% from 2014 to 587 ktoe. As for fuel consumption, it reached 494 ktoe, which corresponds to an increase of 34% compared to 2014.
 
According to the latest report from the National Energy Observatory, the consumption of jet aircraft, however, decreased by 24% since the monthly demand was down 14%, 43%, 44%, 25% and 15% during the months of August, September, October, November and December, respectively, because of the tourism sector which continued to decline after the two attacks in Sousse and Bardo.
