Tunisia: GIZ enters into development partnership for financial inclusion of women

The German Cooperation, through the Deutsche Gesellschaft für internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, is joining forces with a microfinance institution in Tunisia in a development partnership with the private sector.

This partnership consists of an in-depth analysis of the “Women” segments in the Tunisian market and among the clientele of this microcredit institution, which currently has 5,000 women entrepreneurs and farmers.

This analysis will aim to better understand the needs of women and the barriers they may face in accessing financial services or in developing their businesses. The goal is to adapt the value proposition, support and communication for women.

This partnership is co-financed by GIZ Tunisia for a total amount of TND 500,000. It will attempt to respond with a tailored approach to issues related to gender inequalities in the agricultural and entrepreneurship sectors in Tunisia.

It confirms the will to contribute to the financialization and economic independence of Tunisian women by exclusively dedicating to them the program this time.
