The Regional Tourism Delegate of Kebili, Jameleddine Ben Jabeur, stated that the region is experiencing a strong tourism dynamic and a notable improvement in key indicators.
According to Ben Jabeur, the regional delegation ranks first nationwide for authorized desert tour circuits, with over 1,820 excursions approved in the Saharan area up to the end of September 2025.
Increase in visitors and overnight stays
He added that more than 118,000 tourists visited the region during the same period, accounting for over 128,000 overnight stays and an occupancy rate of 21%, reflecting a significant recovery in hotel activity.
