Abu Dhabi & Japan sign energy new agreement

Abu Dhabi: Abu Dhabi has agreed to nearly double the oil stockpile in Japan from 3.77 million barrels to 6.28 million barrels in coherence with the nation’s oil growth demand, as consequence the Fukushima wake disaster.

The government-owned clean energy company signed a memorandum of understanding with the Japan export agency, to finance and work on wind, solar and other renewables projects. These could include carbon capture from greenhouse gases injection underground, and the development of sustainable cities.

The aim through the deployment of renewable energy is to capitalise on the opportunities for the growth of the economy and security of the energy.
