Angolan detergent factory sees US$21m profit

A detergent factory, Lider 100%, sited in Luanda’s Viana district, made a profit of US$21 million in 2010, its managing shareholder, Paulo João, anounced on Saturday.

João said the factory produced 10 million litres of detergent from May to December 2010, with an average daily production of 64,000 litres.

For 2011, the firm aims at making a profit of about US$30 million, taking into account the operation of another production line.

The factor has a workforce of 100, of which all but one are Angolans. It was inaugurated on 12 May 2010
