Angolan, South Korean ministers discuss trade

The South Korean government will grant scholarships to Angolan students wishing to study engineering and science courses in the Asian country, the Angolan Foreign minister, Georges Chikoti, announced in Seoul, the South Korean capital, Monday.

Chikoti gave this indication in an interview with the Angolan News Agency (ANGOP) after discussions with his Korean counterpart, Kim Sung-hwan.

The two diplomats, according to ANGOP, also discussed the possibility of increased trade and the state of bilateral relations between the two countries.

Chikoti said in furtherance of the desire to increase trade between Seoul and Luanda, some Angolan companies would attend an international Industrial fair scheduled for October this year in South Korea.

Chikoti’s entourage to South Korea included the Angolan ambassador to the Asian country, Albino Malungo, and the director for Asia and Oceania in the Foreign Ministry, André Panzo.
