The Belgian airline, Brussels Air, has suspended its flights to Abidjan for at least a week, said a statement by the company, made available to the media on Wednesday in Brussels.
The decision was taken following ongoing violent clashes in the economic capital of Cote d’Ivoire, said the statement, which specified that flights scheduled for Wednesday and next Sunday had been canceled.
Brussels Air operates six flights to Abidjan a week, before reducing them recently to three weekly flights, following the outbreak of post-election violence in Cote d’Ivoire
