British Petroleum re-states commitment to Angola’s development

The Director-General of British Petroleum (BP), Mr. Martýn Morrís, has re-stated his company’s commitment to contribute to the development of Angola.

Mr. Morris spoke on Wednesday in Cachiungo locality in central Huambo Province, at the commissioning of a borehole project.

The project, dubbed “Access to potable water for rural communities in Angola,” was executed by BP and the Canadian NGO Development Workshop (DW).

The BP official said his company had also intervened in social and educational areas, as well as in providing support to the entrepreneurial sector in the southern African nation.

He said BP had been working in Angola for some decades, prospecting and producing oil to help Angola in its economic recovery and development,

Under the project, 20 boreholes were commissioned in Cachiungo and Chinguar for the benefit
of over 10.000 citizens
