Cameroon: Gambia Bird Airlines takes to the sky

A new airline, Gambia Bird Airlines, will take to the sky on Monday through a first direct flight from Douala to Dakar, aimed at solving the problems regarding travel in West Africa.

Its commercial director and representative of the company, Karsten Balke and Hortense Sadeu respectively, said Gambia Bird Airlines would fly to Accra, Lagos, Banjul, Monrovia, Freetown, London and Barcelona amongst other destinations in the coming days.

“We guarantee punctuality to our clients and also no cancelled flights without valuable technical reasons,” Balke said.

The commercial director of the company said Gambia Bird Airlines would operate in a win-win situation and that “all facilities will be extended to everybody”.

“We offer the best prices with a service equal to European standards,” added Balke.

Gambia Bird Airlines office is situated in Banjul and was launched in 2009 with German assets and has been operational since October 2012.
