Export promotion program to benefit 1,250 companies in 2026

Around 1,250 companies will benefit in 2026 from the promotion program of the Export Promotion Center (CEPEX), which will target 10 sectors, Director of the Central Directorate of Marketing and Promotion at CEPEX, Salima Hachich, announced Wednesday.

This year’s schedule includes 65 promotional activities, divided between 31 Tunisian participations in trade events abroad and 34 targeted promotional operations, she added, specifying that the latter include, in particular, business missions, professional meetings, trade days in foreign markets, and prospecting missions.

According to her, the program for Tunisian participation in international fairs and exhibitions in 2026 stands out for its diversity, covering the majority of export activities and sectors; its global reach, targeting multiple markets and destinations worldwide; and its innovative nature, with the addition of 12 new events.

In this context, 31 promotional participations have been scheduled (compared to 26 in 2025), including 25 participations within national pavilions at trade events abroad, as well as 6 various and exploratory participations.

Hachich estimated that these events will involve 354 Tunisian exporting companies, which are expected to showcase their products and services within national pavilions totaling around 4,000 m².

Tunisian participation in international fairs and exhibitions will target 31 foreign events, distributed as follows: European market (16 events), Arab market (10), African market (4), and American market (1).

Trade Events Abroad in 2026

These events will cover 9 economic sectors: Agri-food industries and agricultural products, public works and construction materials, information and communication technologies and startups, textile, clothing, footwear, and leather, mechanical, electrical, and electronic industries, cosmetic inputs and products and medical equipment and devices.

Twelve new events are planned for 2026, including six prospecting missions, aimed at high-value-added sectors, integration into global value chains, and market diversification toward new destinations.

Moreover, CEPEX has scheduled about 33 promotional operations in 2026, divided between the organization of business missions and trade days abroad (21), inviting foreign importers to Tunisia (11), and one itinerant mission.

The program also includes a specific event dedicated to Sub-Saharan Africa through the 4th edition of the “Tunisia Africa Business Meetings,” scheduled for the end of 2026.

Promotional Program for Olive Oil and Dates

In addition, a specific promotional program for olive oil and dates has been developed for 2026. It includes more than 30 promotional actions, such as participation in international trade fairs, new market exploration missions, direct promotional operations abroad, hosting business delegations in Tunisia, and organizing professional days in partnership with embassies and consulates, as well as information days on export opportunities.

This program aims to strengthen the positioning of Tunisian packaged olive oil and dates, considered strategic products for Tunisia in traditional markets, while diversifying export destinations to promising markets such as China, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Nigeria, and the United Kingdom.

The 2026 olive oil promotional program also emphasizes communication through promotional campaigns designed to enhance the image of Tunisian olive oil, along with organizing the national competition for the best packaged olive oil for the 2025–2026 season.

In total, the 2026 promotional operations are expected to involve around 900 Tunisian companies, targeting 30 markets, distributed as follows: Africa (18), Europe (6), Arab world (5), and America (1).

The program also introduces 10 new destinations: Belarus, Qatar, Iraq, Belgium, Gambia, Gabon, Guinea, Burkina Faso, Togo, and Benin.

Finally, these operations will cover 10 priority sectors, including agri-food industries, packaging, public works and construction materials, textiles and clothing, health, pharmaceuticals and medical equipment, higher education and training, diverse industries, natural and organic products, essential oils, and renewable energies, while also targeting startups and innovative companies.
