The Exports Promotion Fund (French: FOPRODEX) subsidy will be brought in the period spanning from April 15 to December 31 to 50% for shipping costs and 60% for air transport, the Exports Promotion Centre (French: CEPEX) said Friday in a press release.
The measure covers agricultural and food exports to the Libyan market, reads the press release. It is geared towards supporting professionals during these tough times brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic.
A shipping service was launched to secure the transport of goods from the Port of Sfax to the Port of Tripoli in Libya. Flights are also scheduled during the same period to supply the Libyan market with foodstuff and other products.
