The Sudanese European Friendship Association (SEFA) organized a dinner for the new arriving British, Italian and Spanish Ambassadors to Sudan. The dinner was attended by all the European, American and Arab Ambassadors. The event was attended by Prof. Ibrahim Ahmed Omer, Speaker of the parliament, Abdel Rahman Al Mahdi, Assistant to the President, Musa Ahmed, Assistant to the President, Dr. Mustafa Osman Ismael, Chairman of the Political Committee in the National Congress party. There was wide presence for the media representatives and members of the Association.
Gamal Al Waly, Acting President of SEFA addressed the event and called for more dialogue between Sudan and Europe in all areas at all levels. He stressed the role of SEFA in bringing public diplomacy between Sudan and Europe.
European Union Ambassador Tomas Ulicny highlighted the importance of cooperation between Sudan and Europe in the area of migration. He also reflected on the state on the Euro-Sudanese relations highlighting the importance of national dialogue, human rights and peace on influencing the course of relations with Sudan. The European Union diplomat stressed the unity of the European countries and common approach in Sudan.
Amal Alnoor, Sudanese singer performed songs in Arabic and European languages with her accompanying band.
