Hedi Djilani to hand over MEU’s chairmanship

The Board of Directors of the Maghreb Employers’ Union (MEU) held its periodical meeting, on Monday in Algiers, with attendance of the founding members, the chairmen of the five Maghreb employers’ organisations.

The meeting was held under chairmanship of  Hedi Djilani, Chairman of the Tunisian Industry, Trade and Handicrafts Union (UTICA) and MEU outgoing Chairman.

The meeting reviewed the various actions taken by MEU last year, and examine its action plan for the forthcoming period, in particular the organisation of the second Maghreb Businessmen Forum due next May in Tunis.

According to the regulations of the Maghreb Employers’ Union, Mr. Brahim Hafedh, MEU founder member and acting Chairman of the Libyan Businessmen’s Council will take over MEU’s chairmanship from Hedi Djilani.

The chairmanship of this Maghreb organisation is periodically ensured by one of the chairmen of the five members Maghreb employers’ organisations for a tenure of one year renewable only once.
