Officials of the International Finance Corporation (IFC) reiterated the will to continue supporting Tunisia and providing the necessary technical support in priority areas, especially investment, to enable the country to achieve an effective and sustainable economic transition.
Indeed, a meeting was held on Thursday between Minister of Economy and Planning, Samir Said with Deputy Regional Director for the Middle East and North Africa at the IFC Walid Al-Abadi, Director of the Maghreb Region, Xavier Real and IFC Resident Representative in Tunisia, Georges Joseph Ghorra.
The meeting provided an opportunity to discuss the status of implementation of cooperation programmes, particularly those related to technical support in a number of areas, such as improving the investment climate, financing the private sector through venture capital funds and operationalising the public-private partnership.
