Laws need to be revised ahead of the Tunisia-Japan forum (Belkhiria)

Nacef Belkhiria, Secretary General of the Tunisia-Japan Chamber of Commerce and Industry, spoke on Thursday’s Midi Eco about Prime Minister Sarra Zaafrani Zenzri’s participation in the 9th edition of TICAD, held in Yokohama, Japan.

He stated that TICAD provides a framework where projects and ideas are proposed.

“Once an agreement is reached, implementation begins in the following years. These projects come from both private and public actors,” he explained.

Belkhiria noted that during TICAD 8, Japan observed that Tunisia had a strong level of training in exact sciences and artificial intelligence.

The partnership will allow better use of these skills, as already seen in the rapid launch of projects, particularly in the medical field and automotive construction.

According to Belkhiria, Tunisia’s main strength lies in the services it offers, thanks to its experience and human potential.

The challenge, however, is that it struggles to establish effective connections with African countries, whether by land, sea, or air.
