Libya, Egypt and Sudan have agreed on tripartite development pact in the areas of energy, food security, telecommunications as well as information and communications technology.

The agreement was reached after a two-day meeting of experts from the three countries in Tripoli, under their umbrella Joint Commission

According to the spokesman of the Libyan Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Badr al- Dinne al-Ghannouchi, the meeting’s recommendations include ensuring food security by strengthening cooperation in the field of agriculture.

The need for the three countries “to develop the telecommunications and information and communications technology and the exchange of information in the field” was also part of the recommendations made by the experts.
