National Defence Minister Imed Memiche, on Tuesday, visited the Gabes Airfield, where he inspected the operational capacities of the units stationed there and was briefed on their activities and working conditions of the troops.
Memiche stressed the role of air units in protecting Tunisia’s land borders and its airspace as well as in providing operational support to their capacities to face all illegal activities, the Ministry said in a statement.
He also commended the efforts of the airfield officials to ensure the promptness of the units installed there and the supervision of the military, calling for more vigilance.
The minister, on November 16, paid an inspection visit to the 13th Mechanised Infantry Regiment in Jendouba.
