The current chairman of the African Union, Beninese president Boni Yayi, will attend the 7th edition of the European Development Days, an annual policy event, which opens on Tuesday in Brussels, diplomatic sources told PANA on Monday in Cotonou.
The Beninese president, in his capacity as guest of honour, will deliver a speech presenting the experience of Africa and Benin in terms of promotion of good governance and inclusive and sustainable economic growth. It is on the theme: “Sustainable and inclusive growth”
The meeting will bring together heads of state from Europe, Africa and Asia, as well as several personalities from international organizations and civil society.
Yayi will hold talks with senior officials of the European Union Commission, particularly its chairman, Manuel Barroso.
He will also meet the new Belgian Prime minister, Elio Di Rupo.
