The African Development Bank (AfDB), an international financial institution founded to promote the development of Africa, will open an External Representation Office for Asia in Tokyo, Japan, according to a press statement, received by PANA here Monday.
It said that the Tokyo office will be AfDB’s first office located outside Africa.
“With economic ties between Asia and Africa growing increasingly close, the new office aspires to be a bridge between the two regions, committed to supporting various projects conducive to the further enhancement of exchanges,” the statement added.
