Senegal: BADEA sponsors 7th Afro-Arab Trade Fair

The Arab Bank for Economic Development in Africa (BADEA) will be the official sponsor of the 7th edition of the Afro-Arab Trade Fair, to be held 19-23 March, 2014, in Casablanca, Morocco, the bank has said.

BADEA said its sponsorship is in recognition of the importance of such events in strengthening economic cooperation and Afro-Arab solidarity, in addition to identifying new investment opportunities and promoting the Arab and Arab-African investment.

Unlike the previous editions, the forthcoming Trade Fair will be devoted to the health sector, specifically towards promoting cooperation between African and Arab countries in the area of health and development.

The Trade Fair will also provide a unique opportunity for operators in the sector to identify investment opportunities and build a sustainable partnership, in addition to facilitating exchange of experience and technological knowledge in the sector, enabling operators to access the latest news in the medical field.

In its capacity as Official Sponsor, the Sudan-based BADEA – which started operations in March 1975 – is financing the participation of African countries to the fair.

On the sidelines of the Fair, a symposium with the theme: “Promoting Afro-Arab trade in the field of health”, will be organised.
