TGH’s Retel ends year with string of contracts in Benin, Togo, Burkina Faso and Tunisia

“Retel”, a company in the Tawasol Holding group owned by the Chabchoub family, was awarded, on October 17, 2023, the contract to start work and hand over the site in Benin for the construction of a domestic wastewater treatment system in Ganvié with the Benin Tourism Heritage Agency for the equivalent of 115 million Tunisian dinars.

In December 2023, the company, which is listed on the Tunis stock exchange and is trying to get out of Category S, was notified of the award of a contract in Togo for the design and construction of a retention basin and water supply works with the Togolese Ministry of Town Planning and Land Reform for a total of 1,997,547,144 CFA francs, equivalent to 10,400 million Tunisian dinars.

Retel has also signed a contract with the Office National de l’Eau et de l’Assainissement (ONEA) in Burkina Faso for the production, supply, storage and primary networks of the water system.

The contract was awarded on November 28, 2023 for the storage and primary networks of the Kouka-Ouest multi-location drinking water supply system in the Boucle du Mouhoun and Hauts-Bassins regions, for a total amount of 1,258,922,970 CFA francs, equivalent to TND 6,550 million.

And last December, Retel received notification of the award of a contract to STEG, in consortium with the BI consortium, for the supply and construction of the gas pipeline and ancillary works for the supply of natural gas to the commune of Kébili, for a contract value in dinars of TND 13.591 million and a portion in euros of €11.233 million.
