Tunisia: 14 automotive and aeronautics firms receive €190,000 in response to COVID

Fourteen companies operating in the automotive and aeronautics sectors received financial support of €190,000 (the equivalent of 620,000 dinars), as part of the support program for SMEs operating in both sectors launched by the Agency for the Promotion of Industry and Innovation (APII), in partnership with the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ).

The program, launched in July 2020, aims to support SMEs impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, GIZ said in a statement Wednesday.

It is a support scheme that will run for 22 months, with a budget of €675,000 to reimburse expenses related to measures to fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.

This program is part of the project “Partnership for employment and support for medium-sized enterprises in Tunisia”.

That project is mandated within the framework of the Special Initiative Training and Employment – “Invest for Jobs” launched by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and implemented by GIZ Tunisia in close collaboration with the Ministry of Industry, Energy and Mines.

The fund is open to new eligible companies that want to benefit from it: http://www.tunisieindustrie.nat.tn/fr/appui_pme.asp.
