Tunisia: SFBT almost stabilizes its turnover at 627 million dinars by end September

The Société de Fabrication des Boissons de Tunisie (SFBT) has published its activity indicators for the first nine months of 2025.

The company posted a total turnover excluding tax of 627.3 million dinars, compared to 634.4 million a year earlier, representing a slight contraction of 1%.

Local soft drinks generated 151.8 million dinars in the first nine months of the year, compared to 160 million for the same period in 2024, a decrease of 5.1%. Soft drink exports also fell by 26% to 13.7 million dinars.

Conversely, local beer continued its growth with a turnover of 437.1 million dinars, compared to 428 million at the end of September 2024, recording an increase of 3%.

Beer for export, although representing a marginal share of the total, experienced a sharp decline of 60%, to 3.1 million dinars, as a result of a temporary drop in orders from a foreign client.

In volume, beer sales increased by 1.3% to 128 million liters.

The company explains that the drop in soft drink sales is partly due to a change in the billing method: the Charguia plant no longer directly markets all products, with certain volumes now being billed through a subsidiary, SGBIA (cans and PET).

This accounting change artificially reduces the parent company’s turnover without reflecting a real decrease in the group’s activity.

Furthermore, in the first nine months of 2025, investments amounted to 19.9 million dinars, compared to 21.2 million for the same period in 2024, concentrated mainly on the purchase of industrial equipment and returnable packaging.
