The Southwestern governorate of Tozeur experienced a positive rate of industrial investment during the first half of 2013.
According to the Regional Director of the Agency for the Promotion of Industry and Innovation (APII), 18 projects entered into production until the end of June 2013, mostly in the food processing sector and 16 obtained agreements for the provision of benefits for a volume of 1.835 billion dinars, as incentives for regional development, knowing that these projects were carried out for a value of 7,556 MTD creating 150 jobs.
In addition, the regional branch of the APII recorded the reporting of 47 new projects in the industrial sector for investments of around 15,945 MTD and with 420 job positions created.
In addition, 19 projects were reported in the area of services related to the industry, with a value of 5.543 MTD, with the creation of approximately 110 employment positions.
