A major tourism project will be carried out in Tabarka, according to local and regional sources. The $ 320 million-Tunisian-dinar (MTD) project will be financed by the state up to 51% and by a French private investor with 49%.
This project will be built on an area of 300 hectares and will generate some 4,600 jobs. It comprises a yachts maintenance unit at the Port of Tabarka, a marina, an industrial and commercial area near the airport, the extension of the tourist area “El Morjane” in the village of Barkoukech, a luxury hotel, a clinic, a stadium, residences, a spa center and a fish unit in Malloula.
