Tunisia: 4.7 million dinars from WB to finance study on social assistance

Hiba Gassar, senior economist at the World Bank told Express FM, the Bank has granted Tunisia funds amounting to 4.7 million Tunisian dinars to finance a study on social assistance.

The study will be conducted in four stages: diagnosis of the situation, identifying the needs of Tunisia on social assistance, supporting dialogue with social partners on social security and developing reform, in partnership with the civil society and on the basis of inclusive consensus.

Referring to the role played by the World Bank in the preparation of this study, she said it involves supporting Tunisia in the development of this reform and making available the expertise of the institution and tools required to carry it out.
