SoleCrypt, an Anglo-Tunisian developer of datacenters and solar energy, plans to build a 20 MW datacenter in Bizerte, northern Tunisia, in partnership with Schneider Electric.
According to the two companies, the datacenter will be located at the landing point of three submarine cables, including the 8,700 km (5,405 miles) Medusa submarine cable, which serves 19 landing points across Europe and North Africa.
The project will be powered 100% by renewable energy, produced by a 60 MW solar plant in the Tozeur desert. This solar project, known as the T60 site, will be developed by SoleCrypt.
