Tunisia: ADWYA sees its revenues fall by 24% in the second quarter of 2020

Despite a 24% drop in income during the second quarter of the year, ADWYA stabilized its turnover in the first half of the year at 44.4 million dinars.

This was mainly due to the combined effect of the decline in sales of products under license of -13%, mainly during the second quarter (COVID-19 effect) and the drop in Export and processing by -29% and -22% respectively, mainly due to the delay in the opening of an export letter of credit and the postponement of orders in processing following the COVID-19 pandemic.

However, sales of Generics and Hospital products grew by +16% and +54% respectively, compared to the end of June 2019.

At the end of the first six months of 2020, the outstanding debt amounts to 29.7 million dinars, 10 million more than in March 2020, mainly due to the contraction of an investment credit of 7 million dinars and an additional need for management credit for the equivalent of 3 million dinars.
