Private investment in agriculture in “A” and “B” categories approved by the Agency for Promotion of Agricultural Investment (APIA) reached 267.3 million Tunisian dinars (MTD) at the end of September 2012, against 266.8 MTD, during the same period of 2011, and 266.1 MTD, during the same period in 2010, up 0.2% compared to 2011 and down 0.4% compared to 2010 .
For their part, investments reported during the first 9 months of 2012 reached 449.4 MTD, against 443.6 MTD in the same period of 2011, posting a slight increase of 1.3% compared the previous year.
Investments approved until September 2012 will generate 3,544 jobs, including 183 positions in favor of higher education graduates, against 3,334 jobs (179 for graduates) during the same period last year.
