Tunisia is ranked 60th out of 124 countries, according to the report “The Global Energy Architecture Performance Index 2014,” published by the World Economic Forum, in collaboration with the international consulting firm “Accenture.”
Tunisia is ranked ahead of Algeria (66th), Morocco (79th), Egypt (81st) and the UAE (88th).
In this report, which takes into account the ability of countries to provide affordable and sustainable energy, Tunisia has accumulated a score of 0.53 / 1, compared with the regional average of 0.42 / 1, considering it “the most performer in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) countries,” in renewable energy and energy efficiency strategies.
