Hilton announced on August 2, 2023 that it has signed an agreement with businessman Ahmed Frikha’s L’immobilière Nour El Ain to open the Hilton Garden Inn Tunis Carthage, marking the entry of the award-winning Hilton Garden Inn brand into Tunisia.
Located on the main boulevard of the Jardins de Carthage, the 170-room Hilton Garden Inn Tunis Carthage will be part of a wider development aimed at enhancing the region’s tourism offering.
Carlos Khneisser, Hilton’s VP Development, Middle East and Africa, said: “The new hotel builds on Hilton’s early success in Tunisia with the opening of the Hilton Skanes Monastir Beach Resort.” He also highlighted three other hotels in the pipeline in the country.
Alan Roberts, Global Head of Hilton Garden Inn., said “the hotel will add to our growing portfolio of 20 operating and planned hotels across Africa.”
Ahmed Frikha, managing director of L’immobilière Nour El Ain, said: “We are confident that the Hilton Garden Inn Tunis Carthage will be enjoyed by the entire region and will bring many benefits to local residents in terms of employment and tourism development.”
