Tunisia: BIAT announces capital increase

The Banque Internationale Arabe de Tunisie (BIAT) Thursday announced that its Extraordinary General Assembly held on June 3, 2020, decided to increase the bank’s capital from 170 to 178.5 million dinars and this, by incorporating ordinary reserves of 8.5 million dinars.

This capital increase will be carried out through the creation of 850,000 new shares, with a nominal value of 10 (ten) dinars each, to be allocated free of charge to the former shareholders on the basis of one (1) new free share for twenty (20) old shares.

The new shares will be entitled to dividends as of January 1, 2020.

The old shares of the Banque Internationale Arabe de Tunisie will be negotiable on the stock exchange, detached allotment right, from June 29, 2020.

The new free shares will be negotiable on the stock exchange from June 29, 2020 on the same quotation line as the old shares to which they will be assimilated, as soon as they are created. Allocation rights will be negotiable on the Stock Exchange from June 29, 2020.

The new free shares and allocation rights will be taken over by Tunisie Clearing from June 29, 2020.
