Tunisia: biggest problem of Tunisair has worsened

The punctuality of national carrier Tunisair has decreased to 32% in April 2019, against 41% in April 2018.

The regular traffic also recorded a slight drop of 0.4% to 302 425 passengers, according to data provided by Tunisair.

On the other hand, traffic from all activities increased by 1.2% to 324,841 passengers, given the 22% growth in charter traffic to 15,009 passengers, thanks to the Umrah traffic.

Similarly, the load factor for all activities combined increased by 3.1 points, from 77.5% in April 2018 to 80.6% in April 2019.

The increase in passenger traffic across all sectors involved two markets. They are North America (Montreal) with a 1.2% share of passenger traffic, up 8% and European countries up 3.1%, with a share of passenger traffic of 73.6%.

African countries, with a share of passenger traffic of 13.2%, dropped by 16%.

Countries in the Middle East, with a passenger share of 11.9%, also experienced a traffic reduction of 1.5%.
