Tunisia: BNA Bank sees its BNI increase by 9% in Q1 to 163 million dinars

The “Banque Nationale Agricole” (BNA) said it had achieved a Net Banking Income (NBI) of about 163 million dinars, at the end of the first quarter of the current year, against 150 million during the same period in 2019, posting a growth of +9.2%.

Outstanding customer loans reached 10.875 billion dinars at the end of March, compared to 10.44 billion at the end of December 2019.

As for outstanding customer deposits, they went up from 8.53 billion dinars at the end of last December to 8.78 billion at the end of the first three months of the current year.

Banking operating income reached 344 million dinars, compared to 301.2 million on 31 March 2019, posting a rise of 43 million dinars, a growth rate of 14.2%.

Banking operating expenses grew 29 million dinars, from 151 to 180 million dinars, an increase rate of 19.1%.

The total amount of operating expenses increased by 7.1% between March 2019 and March 2020 from 66 to 71 million dinars.
