Tunisia: Buying mission for Moroccan supermarket and hypermarket chain

CEPEX, through its representative office in Morocco, is organizing a purchasing mission to Tunisian producers for a Moroccan supermarket and hypermarket chain on November 22 and 23.

The mission, organized with the support of Tunisair and the Moroccan Purchasing Community Association (AMCA), aims to introduce the Moroccan supermarket chain to Tunisian suppliers capable of meeting the requirements of this market.

As part of this mission, CEPEX organized, on November 22, targeted meetings between the two parties, with the participation of around thirty Tunisian companies.

The Moroccan chain, which has more than 70 medium-sized shops in urban areas and outlets on the outskirts of seven major Moroccan cities, targeted more than 15 product groups during this mission, including tableware, office supplies, sanitary products, tools, pet supplies, toys, garden products, decorative accessories, storage products, leisure, relaxation and decoration.

The Moroccan group will also make targeted visits to Tunisian producers on November 23 to find out about the potential of the existing offer, Tunisian know-how and products that could be placed on the shelves of supermarkets and hypermarkets in Morocco.

The aim of targeting Moroccan supermarkets and hypermarkets is to boost Tunisian exports by continuing the upward trend of recent years.

Tunisia’s exports to Morocco reached 850 million dinars in 2022. The structure of national exports to Morocco is made up of processed industrial and agro-industrial products (77.8%) and raw materials (21.9%).
