Tunisia: Clusterlab raises $600k in pre-seed funding to advance Arabic AI technology

Clusterlab, a Tunisia-born and United Arab Emirates (UAE)-headquartered AI startup, has raised $600,000 in a pre-seed funding round from Karim Beguir, Cofounder and CEO of Tunisian InstaDeep, and other regional investors.

The company behind the Arabic audiobook summarization app, Reedz, said the new investment will help accelerate its research and development endeavors, focusing on advancing its next-generation large language models (LLMs).

The potential advancement of these language models is expected to improve the company’s natural language processing (NLP) capabilities, allowing it to enhance user experiences within its AI-powered products, such as Reedz, a mobile app that provides audiobook summaries of books, and Elm, an AI-driven learning app.

The development marks significant progress for Clusterlab, which is on a mission to reimagine how Arabic content is created and consumed by utilizing the power of these models to make it more accessible and engaging for all its users around the globe.

Co-founded in Tunisia by Haithem Kchaou (CEO) and Chehir Dhaouadi (CTO) in 2020, ClusterLab offers artificial intelligence (AI) and natural language (NLP) technologies.
