Minister of Social Affairs Khelil Zaouia said that the deficit of the National Sickness Benefits Fund (CNAM) will exceed 1,600 MTD over the next six years.
He added that the financing of the health insurance system is mainly based on contributions, indicating that experiments confirmed the funding limits, taking into account the annual increase in the cost of care, noting that challenges now faced by the social welfare system require general national dialogue.
He called for a partnership for the purpose of establishing a social security system guaranteeing the rights of all parties.
