Tunisia: consumer price index further drops

The consumer price index in annual shift has continued to drop in February 2016, to 3.3% from 3.5% in January of the same year, according to figures published by the Central Bank of Tunisia, following its Executive Board meeting on March 30.

This trend has mainly affected prices of regulated products (up 0.6% during the month of February 2016 against 5.5% in February 2015).

For core inflation, the rate of change of the index of commodity prices excluding fresh and regulated products remained at 5.4% in February, 2016.
