Tunisia: tourist overnight stays edge down 44% in February 2016

The main indicators of tourism activity, reported in the latest monthly report issued by the Executive Board of the Central Bank of Tunisia following its meeting Wednesday, further deteriorated in February 2016, particularly overall tourist overnight stays (-44.1% compared to February 2015), foreign tourist arrivals (-8.6%) and tourism revenue (-59.8%).

Concomitantly, the BCT also reported “the air transport activity has recorded a decline in air passenger traffic by 10.6% yoy in February 2016, against 12.7% in the same month of the last year”.
