Compared to January 2012, the index rose only 0.1% in February, according to the INS, as a result of the increase in prices of food and beverages (1.4% ), meat (+4.8%), vegetables (+2.1%), spices (1.8%) and eggs (+0.7%).

However, the clothing and footwear group index fell by 4.8% because of the winter sales.
