Tunisia: Dinar continues downward spiral

Although declining in international markets, the euro was traded over 2.33 TD to close at 2.3350 TD on the interbank market in Tunis, says the financial information site Tustex.

Similarly, the U.S. Dollar has made an exceptional leap in front of the Dinar from 1.7130, Tuesday, July 15, to 1.7250 DT, Wednesday, July 16, 2014.

The lack recorded in the supply of foreign currency in Tunis Stock in recent weeks, is according to the same source, behind the downward spiral of the dinar against the major currencies.

Market professionals expect a continuation of the downward movements of the dinar in the short and medium term.
