The exchange rate of the dinar in January 2016 posted a slight depreciation of 0.2% against the euro and also the US dollar, the Central Bank of Tunisia (BCT) said in a statement Wednesday. Therefore, the US Dollar remains more expensive than the euro
BCT also noted that “on the international foreign exchange markets, the appreciation of the euro against the dollar has continued to reach 1.1025 dollar on February 22, against 1.0832 dollar at the end of last January, in connection with the improvement in growth in the euro zone against a slowdown in the United States in a context marked by the intensification of fears over prospects for the global economy.”
