Tunisia: dinar exchange rate against euro returns to its July 2018 level

The dinar exchange rate continues its appreciation against the euro thus returning to its July 2018 level.

Indeed, according to the daily data of the Central Bank of Tunisia (BCT) of September 23, 2019, the dinar is trading at 3.140 against the euro on the interbank market for the first time since July 6, 2018.

Presumably, this appreciation bears the mark of the rise in tourism receipts which accumulated the equivalent of 4.09 billion dinars until September 10, up 1.3 billion dinars compared to the same date of the past year.
