Donations made by Tunisian citizens and companies to the postal account 1818 created to combat Coronavirus reached about 198.3 million Dinars (MD) as of May 6, 2020.
In a statement published on Wednesday, the Ministry of Finance said that these amounts are automatically transferred to the account for the prevention and fight against health crises 1818, created by the Ministry of Health, and whose funds are intended exclusively to finance actions to fight against pandemics.
Prime Minister Elyes Fakhfakh had called on all citizens to make donations according to their capacity to the 1818 Fund to support the Ministry of Health and fight against the coronavirus.
