Economic activity has regained its usual pace in the governorate of Gabes, after the resumption of business in different production units, including those set up in the industrial area, thanks to a stabilization of the situation in the region.
The commercial port of Gabes resumed its dynamics, notably with the mooring for maintenance of a foreign oil platform, reported TAP agency.
The recovery of activity of the Cement Company of Gabes has fostered the revival of the construction industry and public works with the realization of major projects such as the Gabes-Sfax highway, the construction of the Higher Institute of Arts and Crafts in Gabes and the extension of the Higher Institute of Applied Science and Technology.
Other projects in progress include the construction of a new Emergency Department at the Regional Hospital of Gabes and two new clinics and shopping centers.
