The Tunisian diplomacy is working hard to convince the Foreign Office to lift travel restrictions to Tunisia, imposed since the Sousse attack. This was announced by Minister of Tourism and Handicrafts, Salma Elloumi Rkik.
The minister, whom we met at the opening of the “Yacht Med Festival”, was upbeat, saying her department spares no effort to achieve this objective, whose impact will be positive on the tourism sector.
The precision comes at a time when British newspaper “The Guardian” announced a gradual lifting of the travel restrictions, which will be implemented in stages.
For some observers, this is quite possible, especially with the improvement of the security situation in recent times.
