Tunisian Transport Minister Rabie Majidi, speaking to members of the Assembly of People’s Representatives (ARP) during the discussion of his ministry’s draft budget, confirmed that the draft tender for the Enfidha deep-water port had not been approved by the High Committee for Public Demands.
According to the minister, the rejection was due to the “unacceptable nature of the financial conditions”.
Majidi said Tunisia now has three options: launch a new tender, find a strategic investor or reinvent the project.
